What your yard gains with StallDesk

Fewer things forgotten, fewer losses, less time spent re-typing and answering the phone. Here, in plain words, is what StallDesk changes on a yard, area by area.

What the small leaks cost

On most yards, information lives in several places: the care notebook, the turnout whiteboard, each horse’s folder, messages from the team and from owners. None of it is done badly. But the information doesn’t follow, and it’s always the same small leaks:

  • A wormer written down in the wrong place, then forgotten.
  • Overdue shoeing that nobody saw coming.
  • An extra provided to a livery horse that was never charged for.
  • “Who gave the treatment this morning?”, called down the aisle.
  • An owner ringing in the middle of feeding to ask whether their horse has been turned out.

Each one costs a little time, money and peace of mind. Added together, they weigh on the whole week. StallDesk brings the life of the yard together around a single record per horse: information entered once appears everywhere it’s needed.

Safety

Nothing gets lost, everything is recorded

Care, feeds and due dates no longer depend on one person’s memory or on a notebook left in the office.

No due date missed

Vaccinations, worming, shoeing, dentist: the next date is calculated from the last procedure and comes up on the day’s screen before it’s overdue.

Every treatment is signed off

Every dose carries the person’s name and the time. A dose is cancelled with a clear message, never by an accidental double tap.

Emergencies prepared in advance

The right number in two taps, what to do written in the owner’s file, and the amount you can spend without their approval.

Livery horses in order

Horses whose vaccinations are not up to date are flagged, and the check-in record covers papers, insurance and the contract.

Your data kept safe

Hosted in France, encrypted backup every night, a personal code for each team member, a log of who did what.

Works even without a signal

Today’s data stays available at the far end of the yard, and entries are sent by themselves when the connection returns.

Money

Fewer losses, income that actually comes in

StallDesk doesn’t sell more livery. It makes sure that what’s done gets charged for, and that what’s bought isn’t wasted.

Everything done is charged for

An extra is added in three taps, including by staff, and appears on the month’s livery statement. Nothing is given away by oversight any more.

Livery statements on time

Prepared by themselves at month-end, numbered, sent as a PDF in the owner’s language. Late payments stand out at a glance and reminders go out.

Neither shortages nor overstock

Alert thresholds, estimated days of stock for each product, stock value and spending over six months. The hay order goes out before you run short, not after.

Accurate hours for payroll

Scheduled hours and clocked hours compared, with an export for payroll. No disputes, no re-typing.

A subscription sized to your yard

A shared core, then only the modules that serve your business. They’re switched on without reinstalling, when you need them.

An accountant who saves time

CSV accounting export, and VAT invoice mode with sequential numbering if you want it.

Time

Less typing, fewer interruptions

The time you save depends on your yard. Rather than a theoretical figure, here is where it’s saved.

A horse’s record from its passport

A photo of the passport pre-fills identity, colour, breeding and ID numbers. You read it through, you save. The AI assistant is optional.

The prescription read, the treatment ready

A photo of the prescription pre-fills the medicine, dose, plan and duration. You check before confirming.

The feed round that opens by itself

At feed time, the round opens on the tablet, in stable order. “Feed all” signs off a whole feed.

Fewer calls while you work

Owners find in their area what they used to ask for by phone: turnout, vaccinations, livery statements, documents.

The evening report sends itself

Every day at the time you choose, by email, for anyone who wasn’t there. And every Sunday, the week’s analysis for each horse being tracked.

Documents ready to print

Health record, weekly summary, stable name plate, sales contract, rota: as PDFs, with no layout to redo.

Organisation

One version of the truth for the whole team

The office, the aisle, the arena and the owners all look at the same data, each seeing what concerns them.

Everyone knows what to do

Each person logs in with their code and sees first what they still have to do, horse by horse, in stable order.

The aisle kept informed, in large type

A tablet on the wall shows the day’s duties, instructions, weather and paddocks, with no personal data.

Nothing falls through the cracks

A session with nobody assigned stays visible under “Unassigned”. When two people sign off the same session, the second is told.

A stand-in up to speed on day one

“My first day” gives them six pointers, instructions can be read aloud, and a problem is reported with a pictogram.

Three languages, one team

A German-speaking rider and a French-speaking groom work on the same data, each in their own language.

Reassured owners

A private area to follow their horse and send requests in writing. A well-run yard is your best shop window.

We only write what we have measured

You won’t find on this page an invented percentage of time saved, inflated customer numbers or testimonials written on your behalf. Whatever we claim, we can show you in a demo: a complete 22-horse yard, its feeds, care, broodmares, owners and team, on your screen.

StallDesk has been tested with a hundred horses, thirty people and four stable blocks.

The questions we get asked

How much does StallDesk cost?

The price depends on the size of your yard and the modules you switch on. We work it out with you after the demo, with no obligation. The demo is free.

How long does it take to get started?

Opening your yard is quick. Setting up depends mostly on how many horses there are to describe, and a record can be pre-filled from a photo of the passport. We set the yard up with you: stables, team, horses.

What if my team isn’t comfortable with computers?

StallDesk was designed for the stable aisle: a six-digit code instead of a password, big buttons for gloved hands, problems reported with a pictogram, instructions read aloud, and the interface in each person’s language.

What happens to my notebooks and my habits?

Your livery packages, your prices, your types of work and your care intervals stay your own: StallDesk takes them as they are. Modules are switched on one by one, at your pace.
